All the models of folding chairs derive from the Tripolina chair, patented in 1877 by Joseph B. Fenby and made up of wooden legs, a folding structure in metal and fabric. The intention had been to market a light seat that could be easily transported by British troops when traveling together with camp equipment: since then, folding chairs have been the ideal solution for saving space, especially when travelling. Connubia offers a perfect model to take out when you need to add a seat at the table: it combines the elegance of the materials with the practicality of the foldable function. It has an empty back surmounted by a small beech wood arch, available in the variants: bleached, cherry-stained and wengè-stained, a very dark shade typical of tropical African trees, from Congo to Mozambique.
