Choosing a chair isn't always easy, especially when faced with the variety of products on offer on the market. However, by following a few simple rules, we will help you narrow down your choice of targeted models.
First of all, you have to decide exactly what purpose of use to give to your chair. A living room chair will not be suitable for use in the kitchen, just as a chair designed for the study will not be suitable for a table or a terrace. On the other hand, some chairs find, thanks to their characteristics, perfect placement both in the kitchen and in the living room.
So let's try to give you a little help in choosing your chair.
If you have to choose the kitchen chair, the total height should preferably not exceed 90 cm, because movements in the kitchen are faster and more frequent and a high backrest will become an annoying obstacle. Chairs with armrests and chairs that are too heavy should also be avoided.
Particular attention must also be paid to materials which must be practical, hygienic and easy to clean. So space for plastics, synthetic stain-resistant fabrics, eco-leathers and even leather, preferring colored colors for the latter materials. The wood fiber is also excellent, a natural, hypoallergenic, anti-mite, water-repellent and hygienic material.
The smaller the space, the more choices will go towards smaller, foldable or stackable chairs.
For several years, however, the purchase and choice of chairs and table have been studied and weighed separately and no longer together, as an obligatory combination, thus leaving room for imagination and creativity and above all with a good quality/price ratio. So the group "table + chairs" already prepared no longer works and these two fundamental elements for your furniture are therefore purchased separately.
Before buying the chairs, you will have to choose or in any case know the table you are going to match, because the proportions between the height of the seat and the height of the table must be respected. To a 74-76 cm high table, we will have to combine chairs with a 45-47 cm high seat with a "top - seat" difference of no more than 30 cm.

The chairs will then be able to detach completely from the table, in terms of colors and materials.
For example: to a very linear and monochromatic table, you can also combine chairs with a particular line and with contrasting colors that attract the attention and gaze, while if you want to make the table stand out more, it will be preferable to combine chairs that will be limited to their practical function and therefore more linear or even transparent.
I classic tables, once also used as work surfaces, they are very high (80-83 cm) and often the combination with modern chairs, a combination highly appreciated and recommended by the designers, must in any case be well evaluated, choosing seats no lower than 47-48 cm in height.
Among the furnishing objects, chairs represent a point on which designers from all over the world vent their creativity. So space for materials: in addition to steel and wood, we find polycarbonate, polypropylene, leather, fabric and wood fiber.
